Saturday – Welcome!
5:30pm 7:30pm, La Morra – frazione Annunziata: We will be having an aperitif on the beautiful terrasse of Famiglia Marrone winery, sampling their wines along with salames, cheeses, and bruschetta.
7:30pm, La Morra – frazione Annunziata: Tonight’s Welcome dinner will be directly at the cellar.

Sunday – The Festival delle Sagre
8:00am 10:00am: Breakfast at the hotel. We depart promptly at 10:30am
11:00am, Asti: More than 40 Pro Locos (tourist offices) of the Asti province propose their gastronomic specialities, accompanied by DOC wines, in the open space restaurants caracterised by tavern glasses for wine, paper dishes and organic materials spoons and forks, symbol of past and future at the same time, together with colorful towels and umbrellas: this is the summary of a great experience day. There is the opportunity to choose from more than eighty different dishes!
And not to be forgotten the evocative parade that winds its way through the city streets, animated by more than three thousand people in authentic period costumes, tractors, antique tools, to represent the unique values of this land. 250 charts and bulls, horses, mules, donkeys, goats, geese, truffle dogs, chickens and turkeys.
The parade is the event for those who want to enjoy the taste of the simple things of the past, the character of the countryside that remain alive in the history of those practices that have their roots in our hills.
5:30pm 7:15pm: We will head back to the hotel to have some time to rest after today’s event.
7:30pm, Diano d’Alba: Dinner in a familiar Trattoria in the nearby.

Monday – Class 1 / Agricola Marrone/ Cascina Pugnane
9:00am 9:30am:  Breakfast at the hotel. We depart promptly at 9:30am
9:45am 3:15pm, La Morra: Cooking Class resulting in lunch at the Marrone Winery.
App: Vegetable flan with melted Rocchetta cheese.
1st: Tajarin with fresh vegetable sauce
2nd: Veal roast stuffed with Ricotta, Pancetta, and spinach
Side: Baby Carrots with Grand Marnier Sauce
Dessert: Chocolate Salami
During lunch today we will have a brief “wine class”, which will prepare you for all of the wines we will be experiencing throughout the week.
3:30pm 5:30pm:  Time to rest at home
6:00pm, Barolo: Visit the cellar Cascina Pugnane, where you will experience another style of wine making and another point of view. Dinner directly at the cellar, on their beautiful terrasse.

Tuesday  – A day in the Alps – Pradleves & Castelmagno
8:00am 8:30am: Breakfast at the hotel. We depart promptly at 8:30am
10:30am 12:00pm, Pradleves: We will be meeting Roberto, our host for today, for coffee. He will then take us to the San Magno Sanctuary, to take in the sights.
12:30pm 2:30pm, Pradleves: Today’s lunch will be in Pradleves at a local trattoria.
3:00pm 4:30pm, Pradleves: After lunch, we will visit the seat of the Castelmagno cheese Consorzio, “La Poiana”, where cheeses of all the small producers of the valley are aged in the proper way, and where we’ll learn more about the famous “Castelmagno” cheese.
4:30pm 6:00pm, Monterosso Grana: We will then visit Claudio’s village and see the "Babaciu" tradition, where they immortalize the dead in straw. If time permits, we will then visit Claudio’s family mill, where everything is still powered by water.
8:00pm, La Morra: Tonight’s dinner will be at the Marrone Winery.

Wednesday – Class 2 at Marina / WiMu/Barolo
8:45am 9:30am:  Breakfast at the hotel. We depart promptly at 9:30am
10:15am 3:15pm, Castellinaldo: Cooking class at the Marsaglia Winery with Marina Marsaglia, resulting in lunch.
App: Bell Peppers appetizer
Main Course: Lasagna from Scratch
Dessert: Meliga pastry cookies with Zabaione cream
During Class : visit to the family cellar of Marina, small quantities but high quality!
4:15pm 5:00pm: Time to rest at home
5:15pm 6:30pm, Barolo: We will make our way to the village of Barolo where we will have visit the “Wimu”, wine museum, inside the Barolo Castle
6:30pm 7:40pm, Barolo: Aperitif and short walk in Barolo
8:00pm, Grinzane Cavour: Dinner at Restaurant Castello of Grinzane Cavour, ONE STAR Michelin and beautiful location.

Thursday – Alba/ Class 3
8:30am 9:30am:  Breakfast at the hotel. We depart promptly at 9:30am
10:00am 12:30am, Alba: Visit of the town of Alba, and free time for shopping in the central Via Maestra
12:30am 3:00pm, Alba: Lunch in a Trattoria in the center
3:30pm 5:15pm:  Time to rest at home
5:45pm 9:30pm, La Morra: Cooking class resulting in dinner at the Marrone Winery, where we’ll be cooking with mamma Giovanna.
App: Chicken filets with vegetables and Carpione sauce
1st: Risotto al Barolo
2nd: Brasato al Barolo
Dessert: Hazelnut Cake
9:30pm till early morning… Roddi: After dinner, we will accompany Gianni Monchiero, a fourth generation truffle hunter, on a nighttime truffle hunt and midnight snack

Friday – Polenta / Distillery / Class 4 / Farewell
9:00am 9:45am: Breakfast at the hotel. We depart promptly at 9:45 AM
10:00am 10:45am, La Morra: Visit polenta mill, buy polenta for the class
11:00am 12:00pm, Gallo d’Alba: Visit Montanaro distillery
12:30pm 2:30pm:  Lunch in a familiar Trattoria
2:30pm 4:15pm: Time to rest / finish packing
4:45pm, La Morra: Cooking class at the winery with mamma Giovanna, resulting in our farewell dinner.
App: Lentil and Valerian salad
Main Course: Polenta and Sausages
Dessert: Chocolate & Amaretto Cake

Saturday – Goodbye
Sadly our week is over. Early morning departure at around 6:30am.

Next Sunday will take place the famous Palio di Asti, the historical horse race!
